Social

The Social Committee organise and support various events throughout the year. The addition of a modern kitchen in the church's new pavillions has helped immensely. New volunteers are welcome to join this friendly team. A sample of some of our regular events include:

  • A winter curry evening in the pavilions
  • Easter morning breakfast after the dawn service
  • Annual Rededication service in May
  • Summer Barbecue in July
  • Tea after the All Souls service
  • Parish Fayre in early September
  • Harvest Festival with Barn Dance in October
  • St Andrew’s Night. Following the simple service to our patronal saint, soup, bread and cheese are served followed by a rousing Scottish sing-a-long and ending with the Gay Gordons dance.
  • At Advent, the Darkness to Light service followed by Gaelic coffee and shortbreads.
  • At Christmas, the Carols by Candlelight mean mulled wine and mince pies – now very much a
    St Andrew’s tradition.

Please watch the Parish News each week in church and the
Notice Board on this website for future events. We do hope you will plan to join us!
