St Andrew’s Church is open every day. We all need some peace and quiet to meditate and pray. The Parish church is a wonderful oasis of peace - please use it.

Confirmation Enquiries If anyone is interested in exploring the possibility of being confirmed this year please speak to Joy Lievesley or contact the parish office.

The next Women's Breakfast is on Saturday, 1st June, 9.00 am in the Pavilions, followed by a talk by Simon on his life before Farnham.   All ladies welcome - do come along and give it a try if you haven't been before.

On Sunday 9 June at 3.00pm there will be a civic service of celebration and dedication as Councillor Paddy Blagden inaugurates his Mayoral year. All are welcome to the service.

On Sunday 16 June we shall be welcoming friends from the Methodist and United Reformed Churches to the Eucharist.  This will take place at 11am followed by a light lunch.


On Sunday 23 June at 3.00pm The Bishop of Guildford will be with us to license new Lay Ministers. It would be very good if large numbers of us were present at this service to support Andrew Partridge as he is authorised for his new ministry.

27th June at 1.30pm Fosta summer visit to Watts Gallery followed by afternoon cream tea. Forms available from Parish Office.  £11.50.

PARISH FAYRE 14TH SEPTEMBER  

Deanery Walks Please join us for a series of  planned walks starting from churches.  The next one is on 25th May starting from All Saints Crondall at 10am and returning between 12.30 and 1pm.  The next walk will start from St Andrew's on 29th June.  Details to follow.

Guildford Diocesan Summer School takes place from 22 to 26 July. This is an annual opportunity to explore faith and discipleship in workshops and seminars. Details are available at the back of church or on the Diocesan website


Story Time Belle Barrett our Children’s Worker, has started a story time group on Wednesday afternoons from 2pm - 3pm for preschool children to come along with a parent.  For details please email Belle@fcct.org.uk Please note that this group will not be running during half term - 29th May but will recommence on 6th June.

Piano Players Is there anyone in the congregation who would be able to help out on the rare occasions where Frances Whewell is unable to play at the 9am service at St Francis?  Frances would like a couple of people whom she could call upon when she is unable to play.  Hymns would be given ahead of time and with plenty of notice.  Please contact Frances or the Parish Office .

Bell-ringing If anyone is interested in joining the bell-ringing team please contact the Parish Office.  Musical ability is not a prerequisite! 

Heather Golding will be “Singing for Peace” in church on Wednesday mornings at 11.30 am for approximately 45 minutes.  All are welcome to drop  in and listen. Heather has a unique but beautiful style of singing.

Sidespeople  - The Churchwardens are looking for 2/3 new sidespeople to assist them just once a month on a Sunday morning.  The sidespeople fulfil an important role in helping the Sunday services flow without a hitch and by maintaining a welcoming link to church members and visitors.  Please contact the Parish Office for further details.

Coffee Pot open weekly on Saturday mornings from 10.30 - 12pm (no longer 10am) and that as well as selling second hand paperback novels we also want to sell small new unwanted presents and home produce as well as cakes. Donations very welcome from the congregation whenever they can do so!

Parish Groups

Book Club meets in the Parish Rooms 19.45 to 21.30 on the following dates. Please do join us, even if only for the books you like the look of reading!

Mon 22nd July - The Paris Wife by Paula McLain

Baby & Toddler Time  - especially for Mums & Dads & their little ones, every Monday  during term time (except bank holidays) in the Pavilions - 10.15am - 12noon. Further details from Jacqueline Wood care of the Parish Office.

Prayer Group - Every 1st and 3rd Wednesday Evening (except August),  2.30pm - 3.45pm at 6 Beavers Road.  Prayer for the parish followed by a hot drink.  Everyone welcome.  Further details: Morna or Andrew Partridge in care of the Parish Office.

Women’s Breakfast - held bi-monthly on the first Saturday of the month in the Pavilions at 9am. Details: Diana Martin or Barbara Haworth in care of the Parish Office. Please note that in both April and June this will be on 2nd Saturday of the month. 

St Francis Circle - meets every 1st Monday of the month at St Francis Hall,  2.30 - 4.00pm. Details:  care of the Parish Office.

First Tuesday Groups  - meet every first Tuesday of the month to read the Bible, discuss what is read and hopefully be a little wiser from God’s word.  Meet at 11.45am followed by lunch.

Meditation - A quiet hour of Meditation in St Andrew’s 7.45pm for 8pm 3rd Tuesday each month Further details Mandy Marshall in care of the
